Has anyone removed the rear Axle on a V10?

My sway bar link failed and ripped up the CV Boot and I need to replace.

I looked on the DIY section and did not see anything.

If anyone has any information on this it would be much appreciated.

It’s a easy job. Disconnect the parking brake cables and brake fluid lines and unbolt the sway bar mounting. Support the rear with a jack and unbolt the four subframe bolts and lower....

I would assume that you also have to remove the hub nut. I want to clean, re-lube & re-boot the CV joint on the outside drivers side.

So, I want remove the half shaft.

Thanks

Yes. The hub nut and the inner flange bolts. I don’t honk a new axle is that expensive if you choose to go that route. I think it was about the cost of the boot kits the last I checked.
