Jeep Liberty Diesel

I swear there was a thread about DaimlerChryslerJeepEtc. selling their diesel Liberty in the US in '04. I swear it. I just can't find it.
Anyway, one of the replies asked about mileage and the answer was 30% better. Well, from the UK ChryslerJeep website, looks like it's 17mpg city, 22 combined, 27 highway. Converted with TDIClub Unit Converter to US mpg for your convenience

I want one. I really want one that gets better mileage than 27 hwy, but ...
