I have 2003 tdi Jetta with 262,484 miles with the original engine clutch. The engine 5 spd clutch works fine w/o the AC on. With the AC on I get a noise when coming to a stop while the engine is coming down with the AC load on the engine. I don't know if the noise is coming from the AC or the engine clutch.. Here's my question... Can the noise be coming from the AC clutch ? I can say the AC works well with no issues.. How can I test the AC and AC clutch to see if that is getting ready to fail?:)

Yes. An AC clutch can be noisy, but so can the compressor if it's got problems. I am not sure how to isolate the two except to replace just the clutch. The dealer will charge you almost as much for a clutch as for the entire compressor with clutch.
