Car: 11/99 TDI golf manual 155k miles.
Problem: Fans running on after key off and engine cold. Read all the threads about this and found:
Diagnosis: Power from fuse 16 not at pin 4 in 14 pin connector at fan module.
Deeper diagnosis: power present on wire AT connector, but circuit broken IN connector. Not sure how this happened.. its a virgin/ no salt roads car.
Is there a source /part number for a new replacement connector? Or a guide to service/ re-build the existing connector? I have a gaggle of connector tools and none of them want to release the offending connector from the housing.
