I wouldn't pay extra for the words "VW Certified" on a pretty much new car with 16k on the clock with the warranties we're getting, specifically, because of the dieselgate stuff.
certified gets an even longer warranty

Certified VW Pre-Owned is the way to go. Factory warranty still covered and the best fact is the vehicle is typically lightly used.

Any TDI is worth the money, you cant buy a new one anymore..and there usually gone on dealer lots..

ditto. The dealers want huge money for these. Demand dropped because of the scandal, but TDI wagon's and the 15's in general are going for huge money because it's perceived these will be the last TDI's from VW for a while.

I did only because the car was 2 years old effectively at time of purchase and having owned german vehicles albeit a mini i started to get nickel and dimed at 70k.
