FS: Cheap ’06 (MKV) Jetta TDI
Going to put my wife’s 2006 Jetta TDI (MKV) for sale in the next few days (as soon as the replacement vehicle is ready for pick up). It has some issues that will need attention. Camshaft sounds worn and will need replacement at some point and the timing belt is due so this can be done at the same time by the new owner. The windshield will need replacing and brakes will need attention soon too (parking brakes still work). The roof liner is sagging for some reason but not above the front seats. The good part is that most of the body panels have been replaced by VW a year ago under the corrosion warranty so the body is in nice shape (has a couple rust spots on the front part of the rocker panels but otherwise it’s pretty nice. The following panels have been replaced or repaired buy VW: both front fenders replaced, hood replaced, passenger door replaced, both rear quarter panels repaired, and the trunk lid was replaced. It has 350K kms, loaded with heated leather seats. Colour is black inside and out. New battery from the dealer in October and starts without any problems even in sub -25C weather. Alternator was replaced a couple years ago because of a noisy bearing. She still drives it every day. Winter tires/rims are already on the car and comes with the original alloys (all season tires on them are not really good). I’m asking $2000 for it as-is, or best offer.
