Thoughts on a GT2556v Turbo???

Hey guys, found a guy selling a GT2556v turbo and tubular manifold. Was told it's good for 300whp, 35lbs of boost, and that it'll hit full boost at around 2200rpm. I would be running it on my 1.9 ALH.

How much of this is true?

What have been you're experiences with a GT2556v turbo?

How much do you think the combo would be worth?
(Guy said the turbo has 500miles on it)

Get away from this old crapy lagy nonsense!
On a stock car this turbo make 170WHP .... with this 56mm compressor wheel
you can hit 240hp max, full boost @2800 rpm.

Antique. Look for GTA or GTB turbos.

GT= VNT1
GTA = VNT2
GTB = VNT3
GTC = VNT3.5
GTD = VNT4

I just wanted to point out that a GT2556V could also be a 2nd generation version and therefore GTA ;-)

This is the turbo and manifold in question..... guy wants $1,000 for both.

This is a GTA2556V from VW LT also used in Brazil MWM engine with 13blade VNT and 7.7mm blade height.

That is a fake/aftermarket plate. Note its glued on.

Sorry to correct you but it us a genuine Garrett, no fake.
