2014 JSW - Service Reset???

In our 2010 it was quite simple...





There is no "Reset" option on this 2014 :confused:


Can anyone help a guy out? Tap head while shifting from 6-1, chewing bubble gum and singing happy birthday perhaps?

Wow! Just realized I have the same problem in my 2014 JSW. My old 2011 JSW had that exact same thing on the MDI. I guess VCDS will do the job. Do you have VCDS?

Dang! I got one from classified ad on this forum with unlimited vin for $200. Keep a eye out there. Ross-tech dont sell them as unlimited vin anymore.

Try this:

1. Switch car off .
2. Switch on the emergency flashers.
3. Press and hold the 0.0/Set button on the instrument cluster.
4. Switch on the ignition.
5. Release the 0.0/Set button.
6. A confirmation message appears in the display. Confirm request with the OK button on the multi-function steering wheel.
7. Switch off the emergency flashers.

Didn’t work on my 2013 JSW.

On my 2010 it is as drsven specified, minus the flashers. It does not work if you have the door open though, learned that the hard way.

Success... Sort of.


I got the reset prompt but it seems to have not reset. I tried again when I stopped for fuel this morning so we'll see if "Oil Change Now" pops up again after work.

Keep getting the "Change Oil Now" warning every time I start the car.

Sadly no. As this is our 3rd VW and I don't know anyone in my area with one (7yrs now) I think it's time to invest!



Oddly it seems like it has reset the Inspection but not the Oil Change...



Oil Change: -7000km / 55 days
Inspection: 29800 km /361 days

So yes this did work... To reset the Inspection interval. Just noticed last night what it was asking.


Thought I'd try the clock button (service right, oil left?) in hopes it'd reset the Oil Change interval - nope.


How do we (I) rest the OIL CHANGE?

Lol yep confirmed. VCDS has the capability to reset it.

I just changed oil on my 13 JSW. Turned ign on but didn't start car, scrolled through menu, found oil % and reset. Then shut off ign, turned back on and started the car. Scrolled through menu to find oil and was back to 100%.

Not sure where your reset is tho.:confused:
