So I've chased the rabbit down the hole and long story short replaced my brakes and knuckle. But when I attached the knuckle back up on the strut where it lines up before (and let it hang there overnight) now the whole thing hangs about 3" too low. Did I mess up my strut somehow or is there a way to compress the strut? I'm hoping it's not the strut because I doubt I have the chops to replace that. Any help is appreciated and I can post pictures if I would help.

Yours truly,
Alice's dumb cousin

Front Strut / Knuckle

Have you verified that the strut is fully seated into the knuckle ?
The Bottom of the strut should be seated "near"the bottom of the knuckle hole.

You have to expand the hole in the knuckle to get the strut to drop in. Google Metalnerd strut spreader tool.

Did you undo the nut (or both nuts) on the top of the strut?
