My Berry red 150 TDI c/w 19\" BBS CH\'s and Anni kit

Just a few pictures of my (United Kingdom) 150 bhp TDi Golf with a few mods it needs a bit of a clean and the pictures were taken in a hurry but I hope you get the idea all comments good or bad appreciated

Yes you got it in the UK 150 TDI Golfs are badged GT <font color="red"> I </font> s much to the annoyance of proper GTI owners as we usually out run them

Hi dieseldorf the colour is called Berry Red when I first got it I went into the garage next morning and under artificial light I thought it looked pink, so I thought "that's it, it's for sale" but I have got over that long ago and never seem to notice the pink tinge that shows sometimes anymore

we used to have a color like that. IIRC, it was match stick red.

And it was commonly called, "Lipstick Red".

I think it's a great color. VW's had some really cool 'limited' colors.

Looks like headlamp washers are available without HIDs. Is this a GTI perk?

the head lamp washers don't come as a perk on GTIs but are part of a winter pack option which includes heated seats, headlamp washers and heated screen wash jets I would have thought that you were able to get similar options over in the States and this option especially in Canada with it's more extreme weather

we get heated seats, heated screen washers, and heated mirrors, but no headlamp washers.

we also get heated mirrors but these come as standard and not part of any option pack.
To be honest I don't feel the headlamp washers are of any great use as they only give a quick squirt of water which would remove only the lightest dirt

Yeah, I was never one who yearned after headlamp washers. The ones that work have actual wipers and frankly I think they look stupid. I don't think my headlights ever get that dirty anyhow...

In fact I think they make the front of the car dirty (streaky) if using screen wash in warm sunny weather

Nice ride there Glenni1!!!
I really like the 19"'s and interior controls.
How do you like the VEntus tires???
I have a set of 19" TSW Thruxtons to put on my Bora
and still need tires and 'tuner' lugs with locks.
I'm still searching for the best quality without breaking the bank!!
Thanks for posting the nice shots of your ride.
I like the red paint a lot!!

Hi noplug thanks for your comments the Hankook Ventus tyres seem so far to be OK with no issues over compromised road holding or such I originally wanted Goodyear F1s but the tyre shop talked me into the Hankook as they were two thirds of the price he also stated they were now being fitted as original equipment on a lot of new Fords in the UK so if their good enough for them their at least worth a try, and as of now (3months use) they appear very good value and exceptional quality so therefore I can throughly recomend them

That red is realy nice on your car! Mines Just "flashrot" Or Flash Red, I like it though, looks a bit lighter than yours, even more so pink if you ask me, but hey my wife drives the car too
