Values

Looks like prices are going up at the auctions on these cars according to the settlement update any clear titles that havent had the mod have gone for about buyback price at times.

clear title 09 jetta wagon sold at iaai on the 28th for 8k plus fees, buyback was 11900, figure with fees and shipping 9300, title tax, plates more not much profit, has to be vw buying the ones that are clear cut buybacks. Car had 185k miles on it.

I still haven't been able to track down my 2010 and its demise with the crusher. All the vin history sites don't show any chance in titling.

It had some body damage and 140K miles on it with a perfect set of studded snow tires on steel wheels.

Just looked it up again, she got crushed, goddarn it!!! I knew it was going to happen, I guess I don't feel bad turning int the snow tires and removing the engine cover for my garage wall.

The salvage yard across the street from my work continues to do a brisk business in crushing TDIs. I expect it to taper off as they start to return the good ones to the market as used.
