I have a 2001 Golf and have used vag com to set the horn to honk with the lock or unlock button on the remote.
The problem I have is that it does not honk when I push the lock button, it only honks when the unlock button is pushed.
I can make the single chip from the horn work but only if I lock the doors manually from the outside with the key.
If I lock the doors with the remote and leave the windows down the alarm will sound if I open any of the doors by reaching inside. It will not sound if I openj the hood during the same conditions.
I am lead to believe that the hood switch may be faulty but do not know where it is located.
On a different subject I have two wires going into the hood where the windsheild washer fluid hose goes into it, could this possibly be for heated washer nozzles?
