Sounds like a nice one. Priced well for the PNW as well. I bet it sells in a day or two.

Thanks. Already showed it twice in the first half day.

A really nice young engineer was very interested and, being completely transparent, I wanted him to take it up a hill on the freeway with me because I told him the only problem is that if you gun it at top speed going up a big hill, the engine occasionally bogs down, but we just took it into the shop for that and they said the turbo is fine and thought maybe the rotors might be sticking.

So we just took it on the freeway on a hill, gunned it, and it instantly bogged down and the CEL clicked on. I let it cool and the CEL light resets and it runs fine again until the next time you punch it on the freeway. Frustrating as it runs great around town, and great on the freeway as long as you do not do that, but I was hoping we solved it last time.

Turbo is not fine. Brakes sticking won't trigger a CEL. Shop should know that.

I bet you have a vacuum leak, worn N75, or tired turbo actuator. Some diagnosis and boost logs would find it. None of that is major.

Limp mode resets as soon as you cycle the key. No need to let it cool down. You can even do it while driving, if you enjoy that kind of thing.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the OP said rotors but meant likely meant vanes. Sometimes info can get misconstrued between a shop tech and auto owner.

Even if this car needed a turbo, it's a still a great price given it's geographic location, condition, mileage etc.
