2006 Scenic Drives

Ok, some people have expressed interest in a rallye/scenic drive of some sort.

So far, we have 2 routes in the works. As of now, There will not be an organized time, as of yet. I am working on directions and driving times. but I would list the major routes for each.

Scenic Drive One Valley Forge to Center City, Philadelphia
I-76 to Route 23 to Main street Manaunk to Kelly Dr to Ben franklin Parkway

Scenic Drive Two Valley Forge to Victory Brewing Co Downingtown,Pa

Route 202 south to Route 252 north to Route 23 west to 113 west

On your way down to the fest - scenic drives for those from north and west

For those who want scenic drives on the way to the fest - I'm typing this up a computer in the hotel lobby and not my own - doesn't support tabbed windows so I can't reference mapquest for EXACT directions, but I have general ideas.

Ok - Here they are - Both are the LONG way of avoiding Syracuse, but I can personally vouch that they are scenic. I did use mapquest for these, but I HIGHLY suggest double checking the routes with AAA/Rand McNally/Your Atlas/etc.

Trip #1 - Waterloo - Ithica - Whitney Point
Take exit 41 off Thruway
Take State Route 414 South to US 20
Take Us 20 West of State Route 96 (Downtown Waterloo)
Take State Route 96 (east/south - not sure) to State Route 13 (Downtown Ithica)
Take STate Route 13 South to West Green Street.
Head East on west Green Street - This turns into State Route 79.
Take State Route 79 East to Exit 8 on I81 South

Trip #2 - Geneva NY - Watkins Glen NY - Troy PA - Clarks Summit PA
Take exit 42 of Thruway
Take State route 14 South through Geneva - go by entire length of Seneca lake all the way to Watkins Glen and then through Watkins Glen and all the way to US 6 in Troy, PA.
Take US 6 east to Clarks Summit, PA at which point you can get on to I476 to Philly.
