Does anyone know anything about this? vwvortex.com forum lists rumors about that it will be available in May. Does anyone here know anything about that?

IMHO the 2002 TDI's were already at 100 hp in an undocumented change by VWAG. Many people dynoed their cars and got 90+hp at the wheels. My car is chipped and Gtech-Pro peggs it at 117-119 hp and that is at the wheels + includes wind resistance, that also leads me to beleive we are already at 100 hp at the flywheel.

It is a Pumpe-Duse or pump-injector engine, different from 90hp TDI.
I believe it also can have 6-speed gearbox

don't believe some of the garbage that gets
posted here. the 100 bhp engine for 2004
models is different from the 90 bhp engines
sold up till 2003. unit injectors pump fuel
in at 2050 bar while the rotary pump does
900 (?) bar. here is a link at vwvortex
for the 100 bhp engine announcement. it
clearly distinguishes between the 90 bhp
and 100 bhp engines.

late summer is when dealers start
getting pricing sheets for next year's
models.. expect early fall thereabouts.
also 2003s will probably come with additional
discounts towards the end of the year...

and if you are willing to wait till
towards the end of 2004 expect hefty
discounts because the new model cars
would appear in 2005.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Has to be before the 2004 model year, unless they don't sell any TDI engine cars at all, since the current ALH 90hp engine won't meet US emission limits for NOx (either California or non-California).
