My old car has resurfaced...

A Gen1 2014 JSW with a 6-speed manual. 24K miles. I sold it back right to VW at the start of the buyback. The poor car has languished since then - no doubt the manual transmission limits the market.



Alexandria VW now has it up for sale - they are only asking 14K$ for it - I think I sold it back to VW for nearly double that.

Should sell pretty quick at that price. I'm waiting until the last minute to turn mine in, still somewhat undecided actually.

Killer deal. That will sell fast. I doubt it’s the manual limiting. It probably just wasn’t auctioned by VW until now. Buried in the back of their buyback lot somewhere.

I opted for the buyback on my 14 Jetta back in 12/16... just happened to google the VIN number on an old registration and came across my car for sale again 10/18. Didn't take long to make the decision to trade my current car in for my old Jetta.

My old car just popped up for sale in Missouri. Sold back to VW August 2017. It's a 2013 Jetta with 119,000 miles. Hopefully, the new owner is aware it's due for a timing belt soon. That's why I got rid of it at that point.

You bought your car back after buy back, did you come out ahead over just opting for the fix?
