my 02 tdi has 174000 miles
I cleaned the intake, it was almost plugged. It had never been cleaned prior to this weekend. I put it back together tonight and it ran like new. I had a terrible lag between 2200 - 3000 rpm and that is gone. It hasn't chirped the tires in years and did so when I got on it.

much appreciated. I am considering the racing pipe from diesel geek, are experiences generally good with the racing pipe conversion??

Just keep your EGR and put in a blocking plate where the EGR flex pipe connects to the exhaust manifold. Never have to clean the intake again.

You will get a CEL until you get a chip tuning that deletes the EGR code setting ability in the ECU. You will with a racepipe, too.
