(I tried the search function)
Because of deer damage, I had to replace the door on my 2002 Jetta. I found one from a 2000 Jetta at a junkyard that had the same exterior color and different interior door panel color. The PW, PDL, dome light, and speakers worked even after the door was dented.
(Thinking all I had to do was hang the new door and switch interior panels)
While removing the old dented door, I noticed that the wiring harness inside the rubber boot had 1 black plug with 6 wires, and the replacement door had 2 plugs: 1 black plug with 6 wires? and 1 blue plug with 2 wires. I just assumed that plugging in the black plug all would be fine, but the power windows, power door locks, and speakers did not work.
Does anyone know what that blue plug if for?
I have disassembled the dented door, but have not started do some analysis on the replacement.
I was hoping not to change the wiring harness and/or the door lock module in the replacement door....Any help would be appreciated.
