post emissions fix clutch failure

The day after I picked up my 09 jetta sportwagon following the tdi emissions fix, the clutch pedal went to the floor. It's in getting diagnosed now. What are the odds it could be related to the work they did?

Probably zero.

Hydraulic slave blew out, it happens. Part of the issue of that 6sp manual. Not super common, but that car is going on or is a decade old.

I would start with the assumption that they screwed something up.


this is because I am not a believer in such a coincidence..


they moved quite a few things around to get to the parts replaced, and may or may not have done damage.



if they are honest, they would fess up if a bent or broken line they caused was the fault.
