Default turbo replacement with timing belt replacement

our 2000 jetta tdi has 50,000 mi. we are getting the turbo replaced under warranty. would we be saving time and money to have the timing belt done at the same time as the turbo replacement.

Not really related jobs so I seriously doubt there would be any savings.
My 2cents is if you are in an area with some good TDI people....use them for learning about your car and doing big things like timing belts.
And what if you are not in an above said area.... Travel! Thats what the early people on the forums did....you've got the right car to do it with!

Default turbo replacement with timing belt replacement

Turbo is located on the back of the engine.
Timing belt is on the left side of the engine.
No connection between the two.

Assuming you are standing in front, look at the engine bay.

Yes, state where you are and have a skilled member here do you timing belt when the time comes.
