Brake Lights stay on?

The Other day my brakes lights started to stay on even when the car is off. they just stay on regardless if your pressing the brakes or not. I have to disconnect the battery to keep lights off and from draing battery.

I have no idea whats the problem. ITs a 2000 TDI manuel

dantheman1998, my guess is your brake light switch is bad, which could account for the strange brake light behavior and possibly your glow plug light flickering. This could also be covered by a recent recall.

If it was recalled, i can still bring it back to the dealer after the warrentys over? Were can i find out more info on the recall
