OBDII port above ashtray

According to the VAG-COM page (http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/dlc.html#94mk3)

the MkIV jetta is supposed to have an OBDII port above the ashtray.

However...

1) I can't find it on my car
2) The picture on that page and the link ref "94mk3" seem to indicate a mk3

Do we really have this on our MkIVs?

They are all below the dash in this country. Thats where they are. Maybe his list is wrong or maybe its in a different location in other countries or models? I dont know.. but its not worthy of a thread. =)

Yeah... it's on the left side below the dash. Purple in color on both of my MKIV's ('02.5 GTI 1.8T, '03 Jetta TDI).

I seem to use it way to frequently, lol.
