Cash bar at Banquet????
Y'all tell me, 'cause I don't care.
Have the option of having a cash bar at the banquet. Drinks WILL count against our food total, so a win for us.
Just need to find out if there is enough of a demand for it. Prices will be typical hotel prices (not cheap!) but easy access. Just need more than a few to make it worthwhile for us and the hotel.

I'm game for a cash bar, but it's certainly not a deal-breaker if there isn't one available.
I found that cash bar sales were pretty low in 2009... both at the banquet and at the meet and greet.

The bar service has costs as I recall from the Boston fest. Some number of hotel employee attendants and some minimum number or hours.
The question that needs to be asked is: "Will the sales numbers offset the service costs?"

What they said. If there is one available, I know I will probably have at least one.

OK, not gonna happen. Y'all aren't gonna drink up $300 of booze before the service charge is waived. Thanks for answering the poll...

I think $300 should be a pretty easy target to hit... of course not everyone is going to answer the poll and you will have a lot of "walk-up" sales even though some folks haven't voted.

The fourteen people that have responded they will have a drink, if they each spend $20 that is $280.00 already. The $300 seems very achievable.

I won't be driving anywhere, so I'm usually good for 3-6 beers

IIRC, mixed drinks at $5.50 each, beer $4.00 each.
If y'all think we can make it, we'll do it. Just have to let them know 3-4 days before event.
