I'm selling my 2005 mk4 jetta tdi with 199,437 miles on it. Purchased this car back in 2014 with an automatic that was failing and have been slowly working on it ever since. The car drives beautifully and has been very reliable to me. I purchased and installed the 6-speed swap that RyanP sells on the forum, the transmission I got had a worn third gear synchro (car shifts perfectly fine when driving normal, you cannot power shift into third without the syncros making noise) but besides that, the transmission is great. I also have the car tuned with a Malone Stage 1.5 tune with makes the car very enjoyable to drive. I've loved this car from the day I've bought it and would love to see it go to an enthusiast on the forum.
The good:
Car has Absolutely ZERO rust, it was a Florida car.
Runs like a dream and gets 45MPG city,
Great ac, blows cold
Great heat
No mechanical issues
New tires rotated every 5k miles,
6-speed swap 02M with Sachs dual mass flywheel and clutch kit
Replaced the glowplug harness with an OEM replacement
Replaced arm-rest with a leatherette model from ECS
Replaced center console
Upgraded intercooler kit from DarksideDevelopments
Boost and EGT Gauge
Upgraded 120a Alternator
Frost Heater installed
HID Headlights from Midwest Light Creations from the forum
Leather door cards replaced (all four)
New starter
new coated Zimmerman rotors with pads for the front about 10,000 miles ago
installed BlackForestIndustries Heavy Weight shift knob/New shift boot
Malone Stage 1.5 Tune
NEW AGM battery
The bad:
Rear locks don't work electronically (work mechanically)
driver side Rear window regulator needs replaced
leaks a small amount of oil at the back side of the engine,
Maintenance (only main big items, oil changes every 10k, filters replaced every 20k)
New OEM starter installed
