Default Coolant hose 2006 BRM

I got my new coolant hose # 1K0122157GH from IDParts and when I went to install it the hose was to short and also it was larger on the engine side with a larger clamp. Has anyone else had this problem? How do you fix it? Also did I get the wrong hose?

Default Coolant hose

My car is a 2006 late model jetta(bought in march 2007). I took the 2 hoses off and the clamps on 1 were 2 different sizes. Also the hose does not reach the fitting, it looks like I need an extension and reducer to make this work. Anyone else have this issue?

I just happened to come across this thread.

If anyone has a late BRM like this you'll need 1K0 122 157 HP. It is a different hose assembly than the 1K0 122 157 GH.

Yes, the difference is the size of the crossover pipe on the engine. There is a VIN split, ETKA generally has it correct (unlike the BRM radiators ).
