hi i,m doing a auto to manual swap on my 2004 tdi bew jetta. it had a triptronic in it that is slipping in 5th n 4 gears (Trans Sucks).
i purchased a complete parts car with the same bew motor n 5 speed manual wich i need for the swap and its also the same year as my car.
my question is can i use the cluster and ecu,s (engine and trans)out of the donar car so i don,t have to find the pin to adaption mine?
or what else can i swap to get aroung this?
i have a vag-com cable but i don,t have vagtacho to get the pins infor

you need to do some reading first ;).... google "kill da auto wabbit" ... all your past and future questions can be answered before you run up an entire thread of Q&A on the exact same issues ... good luck !

TCM not required in a manual trans car. You cut the wiring and delete it all together. You have to code the ECU to manual trans from auto trans.

No pin needed.

Search for jetta 5 speed conversion on google. You will find a complete tutorial.
