Did the G495 (aka EGT sensor, bank 1 / sensor 2) change recently?

Been getting a P0141 code which suggests the sensor in the title. Bought said sensor from FCP and went to install it today.

After much cursing and wrangling, the old one came out and went to install the new sensor. Would not thread on, whatsoever.

Appears the new one is a smaller diameter.

Is there a chance this is the upstream EGT sensor, G448?

Looks like you may have bought an EGT sensor instead of an O2 sensor.

I found that there is a fuse for the heated O2 sensor(s), so check fuses first.

Nice catch... you're probably right that I need the rear 02 sensor. Whoops! ha

What's odd though, is that I went to replace the EGT sensor and it wouldn't fit. Same brown connector, same PN... but it was too small to thread in, hence the post.

Any chance if it's the upstream EGT sensor or are they all the same size threads?
