Common Rail different ride to PD engine?

Hi Guys,

I'm going to take my brand new 1.2 TDI Common Rail Seat Ibiza Station from the dealer tomorrow morning. Do I have to drive differently compared to my former PD engined Passat 1.9 TDI ? Special interest in running in the new engine and with fuel economy...

Hp & torque

What is the horse power & torque on the 1.2

The 1.2 TDI E-Ecomotive both in Seat & Skoda cars are 75 hp and have a torque of 180Nm from a 1500-3450 range according to the price/specs list, so with 1105 kg it would have been the ideal caravan puller 15 years ago, now it's a 'slug' with 14,6 sec. to 60MPH and a top speed of 110 MPH. Gonna get the car in an hour, so I keep you guys informed on this tax-free guy!

He's in! Ride is very fine, sharp cornering, pulls up fast to 3000rpm, very very long gearing in 4th & 5th gear... in 5th 1500 rpm at 80km/h and 2500rpm at 130 km/h!! Guess I'm going around town until 3rd gear!
