Golf MKVI
Hello all. Had my Golf MKVI in the shop last week. Needed the alternator replaced, and while there they replaced the cabin and engine filter, and did a brake fluid flush. Since then (and it may just be coincidence but thought I'd mention the recent repairs) it seems like RPM's are higher than before when shifting. I'd say close to 3000. And when driving, particularly at higher speeds, it stays at about 2,000. I guess my question is, what RPM is normal?

They probably did a software update that might of changed the shift parameters. look at your receipt to see if there is an update listed.

Or maybe they put it in sport mode?
