2017 RDI Conversion?

Does anyone know if one can convert a 2017 Passat gasser to a TDI? If so, what's a rough estimate of what the conversion would cost?

It would probably be cheaper to sell the 2017 gasser and buy a 2014 Passat TDI for less than $10K

Trying to go the opposite way...having a diesel with adaptive cruise control.

I did not keep real good track of my A6 Wagon conversion, but with the transmission, ECU tuning, and Engine it cost me about $5000

Any issues with wiring harnesses and what not? Did your dash computers and everything work correctly after the swap?

Yes I needed to re-do the wires based on help from people on this forum and wiring diagrams from All Data. I also bought a used cluster from Latvia. I purchased a 6 speed transmission from Frans in the Netherlands.

There's a huge difference between a C5 swap and a 2017 passat. Since all the electronics are integrated in the 2017, the best bet is to start with a similar car that is TDI, ie import everything from Europe.
