92 Eco Injection pump question

Hello,

I need to change the pump on my 92 1.6td eco, and I know I should probably just go get the right one for it, but I have a good one from a 1.6td (non eco), the only difference that is obvious is the enrichemnt diaphram for 1.6td IP and the hp is higher on that motor than the eco so I'm sure there is something else different as well, but does anyone know if I can run it on the eco motor?

Yes and you will get increased performance. (but less mileage)

The ECOdiesel pump is 8mm, the NA and TD are 9mm. 9MM pump + LDA (Fuel enrichment from boost) = more power.

Thanks for the replies, that's good news, I plan to change the trans to a model with a higher final drive, maybe that will offset the mpg loss from changing the pump.
