Cummins unveils new 2.8 l Diesel crate engine

I wonder how this compares dimensionally with a BRM, ALH, BHW etc.

I wonder if I could fit one in my Passat - longitudinal application...

For only 9 Grand! Anyone want to buy a 98 AHU?

Would love to throw that into my 2003 4Runner.

The engine is compact at 28.3 inches high, 25 inches wide and 25.1 inches deep. And it weighs 503 pounds.

Even as a Cummins fan, I'd take the BHW or a CR140(with a CP3 swap) over the Cummins 2.8. Paying for the Cummins name is too much, unless if the engine is just as reliable and overbuilt as the 4BT/6BT and ISB series.
