caddy problems???

hi i am looking for help ihave a 2006 1.9 tdi caddy witch has gotten very smokey (black smoke) and is down in power, i have had the turbo checked and had injectors tested witch are all fine, air flow and EGR also checked and all fine so im just wondering could i have a timing problem or maybe a blocked exhaust
any help would be great regards john

2005 Passat daily, a bunch of others in the graveyard out back...
im not familiar with your particular vehicle but black smoke means either:

not enough air for the fuel provided = turbo or intake piping is not getting the air to the cylinders. possible vacuum line leak, intercooler/piping leak, clogged intake or dead turbo

too much fuel for the air supplied = larger nozzles or upgraded tuning installed without supporting modifications to increase air intake.


most likely the first option in bold... the possibilities listed is not a complete list but includes the most common and is listed from cheapest to most expensive problems.
