He there , recently I had a problem with my transfer case ,car is golf mk v from 2005 4motion, the problem was at first the sealing from the flange of the box that was leaking oil and that oil was trown by differecial on thew downpipe and every were really...
So I pull it down and surprise 2 main conic bearings were toasted and had worn signs on them.So the internal parts are not servisable so i had to look for parts and so .found them changed them and now the transfer case is new
.
BTW very important is that if you whant to change the oilsealing from the flange you have to take off a bearing and you probally had to destroy it to take it out so it has to be replaced.

1xkoyo lm102949/10
1xkoyo lm503349rya/10
1x ina f-58787 witch is very rare and expensive it's at the and of the shaft
o-ring for flange :N90999001
sealing for flange : oe:02D 525 596 B am :01033862B (cortego)
