I currently have 2010 Volkswagen Jetta TDI

After research after research, it seems that either the scanner is compatible for the gasoline but not for diesel, and some are compatible with diesel but then doesn't have software compatibility with Windows 7 for updates...

Could anyone point me in the right direction for a good scanner for my vehicle?

P.S. I own a 2008 Chevy Tahoe, is there a scanner that could scan both of my vehicles or any different kind of vehicles?
Basically I am looking for a good scanner that can be updated that is compatible with all kinds of vehicles while working very good with my Jetta TDI :D

Ross Tech VCDS, there really is no other substitute when it comes to our VW/Audi cars, it's able to access all the CAN-bus controllers. OBD scanners will only give you very limited code information..

Either the Micro-CAN or HEX-Micro+CAN cable is what you're looking for, one works only on the newer CAN-Bus models and the other model is also backward compatible with older cars. They're worth every penny..
