Please elaborate on this! What comes in your kit?I keep B5 manual swap kits in stock.
They break even when you dont do those things, but I'm sure doing those things might speed it up.Turns out if you tune your car, overload it with tools and tow all while driving it hard eventually breaks things inside the transmission.
Have you seen the A Clutch drum fail on these units before? They break even when you dont do those things, but I'm sure doing those things might speed it up.
I'm with you on that.To me, automatic transmissions with more than 200k on them owe you nothing.
yes see linkHave you seen the A Clutch drum fail on these units before?
i kind of agreeI figure for 260k miles and only ever having been serviced once in its life (under my ownership at about 220k--I bought it with 204k) it did alright. To me, automatic transmissions with more than 200k on them owe you nothing.
since yours was the first I'd ever seen I don't know how practical that would be. Its not easy to get to, nor easy to get apart. After seeing the plugged trans cooler inlet on the radiator in person would not inspecting this inlet port during a scheduled transmission flush be wise?
thanks for the kind words.Richard thank you again for a great job on my car. My rebuilt auto shifts smooth and I am very happy. Good job!
