FOR SALE : Sold on Craig's List for $1,000 on 10/18/2017
2000 Jetta GL TDI:
• 258,000 miles
• manual transmission
• manual window cranks
• silver exterior / gray cloth interior
• no sun roof
• am/fm cassette stereo
• original owner
• timing belt replaced at 235,798 miles (documentation available)
• clean car and title
Price: $1,250.00
Location: Birmingham, AL (southern car – no exposure to road salt)
Known Maintenance Needed:
• Tires (legally bald)
• Weak battery
• No AC – needs air conditioning compressor and auxiliary fan
• Front driver’s side window regulator
• Drives ok, but needs suspension refresh – bushings, shocks, struts
• Occasional slight slip in clutch
• Crack in brake booster hose
• Remote door/trunk lock does not work
• Passenger’s side tail light housing (has hole).
This is our third car and is seldom driven. I love this car and was holding onto to it to restore for my twin sons when they turn 16, but I have too many other projects with a higher priority. Most maintenance records available, but I don’t think they are complete.
