Recently purchased used 2012 Jetta TDI from a dealership with 65k for mileage. Had been driving it for three days and put about 200 miles on it. On my way to work i had cruise control set and it suddenly came out of cruise control and flashing glow plug indicator came on and went into limp mode. I pulled over to the shoulder of the road and turned vehicle off and then on and that seemed to clear all issues.
Immediately took it into dealership and told them what happened and its been in the shop for three days. In short, they could not replicate the issue i ran into and have released it back to me with nothing being fixed.
I highly doubt the 2012 Jetta TDI randomly goes into limp mode without underlying issues. I have had it back now for a few days without any issues. Has anyone run into this before? If so, what was it and how was it resolved? I am concerned the dealership wont back any further issues with this as i didnt opt to buy their warranty when i purcahsed the vehicle.
