My driver's door is not opening when I unlock. All other doors unlock. Only time it opens is after I start the car. Sometimes the door doesn't open from the inside even if the car is running. What could be the problem?

Too much moisture in the door mechanism and the colder temperatures outside freeze it up.
That'd be my guess. I've had a similar issue in the past.
A hairdryer sorted it out.

This is a known problem with Passats of this vintage, or at least it was when it happened to mine. IIRC, there is/was a recall on this issue, or at least at TSB. I cannot recall whether it was repaired under the car's warranty or under the recall.My driver's door is not opening when I unlock. All other doors unlock.
