DIY: Changing from the cloth battery "box" to the hard plastic one

Downside/Possibility

Is there any downside or is it even possible to have both the cloth cover and the plastic shell? I ask this because I like the thought that the cloth cover insulates the battery from heat and cold fluctuations. Sorry if anyone else in this thread asked that already, its 5 pages long.

It is possible to have the cloth cover inside the hard plastic shell. It is a tight fit, but it can be done. Is it worth the trouble? I do not know.
