2011 Touareg TDI is oil filter topside?

Hi Guys, just a quick question for a 2011 Touareg V6 TDI owner or one of the other knowledgeable folks here...

Is the oil filter on the 2011 V6TDI model top side like previous editions?

Should be, the motor did not change, just the rest of the vehical.

Never was two batteries on the V6 TDI, that was a V10 thing.

Ok I searched but can not find the location of the oil filter on a 2004 Touareg V10 TDI ? Is it top side or under the engine. TIA

Update: The oil filter is in front of the oil fill cap, but under the engine cover. Makes it easy for changing. Now if I could just suck the oil out like my jetta I would be set. I was only able to suck two liters out before I decided to drain it. I am glad I did try the suction because someone before me broke the end off a dip stick. I was always having problems putting the dip stick back. Well now that is done. What is next???
