Rear sun screen

I have had the rear sun screen opened now for the last few months and now it won't retract. Is there something I am missing or did the mechanism in there fail? I have tried to pull the screen out a little more to make it retract and nothing. BTW the car is an 05 Passat still under warranty.

Hmmm, odd! I had mine on the Passat up/open all summer and just retracted it about a week ago. I had no problem at all for it to retract. In fact it (upper bar) slipped out of my hand and "zipped"/thumped shut onto the rear deck.

I guess the warranty may need to be invoked!
