1.6 IDI camshaft as an upgrade?

I'm trying to find the specs for the 1.6TD camshaft. I have read that some consider the AAZ camshaft to be an upgrade in VE tdi's. I can't seem to find any numbers on the 1.6 cam though. Anybody have any idea?

As in lift and duration? I have a Bentley from that era. I'll look and if it does, I'll post them. I do believe that the 1.6 L TD and Non-TD cams were identical. In very early 1986 the diesels went to hydraulic lifters and I bet the cams are different for the mechanical lifter heads vs. the hydraulic lifter heads.

stock exh ports aren't flowing much more at 9mm than at 6 so..

This would be for a heavily ported head.

If that mod really works? I've heard about that mod, but whant to know is any one made it?
