What a beautiful day! This is the weather this buggy was designed for.
I dropped the top, put up the wind blocker and went for a drive.
The sun really felt good, the sky was a crisp blue and there was
minimal traffic.

As I tooled along I saw a line of cars coming towards me and thought,
"Hmm, looks like there is smoke around...oh crap. That's sand...."

Whack.

Ok, I am not going to let this ruin my day. I'ts only a small crack in the
Windshield.

Normally my AOCD (automotive obsessive compulsive disorder) would have ruined my day. I would be really upset about the damage and want it fixed ASAP.

Drove for another hour soaking up the sun then finally went home.

It is amazing how good it feels to wash and wax the car.

It truly is a beautiful day!

It's only a small crack.....

Just washed my wife's beetle this morning and got the salt washed and vacuumed out.

Also just removed my '10 Golf from storage, put its new 18" Momo Quantums with new rubber on it, installed new LED tails with rear fog, did all the wiring and coding and life was great.

Backed out of a Starbucks and scraped the new wheel on the curb. Oh well, it's only a brand new wheel. At least now I won't worry about them so much.

Then the check engine light came on... Oxygen sensor. It's just money. I love my car...

Get the crack filled before it spreads. Then you'll be good to go until the next rock chip. :)

Bug wash...

I washed the car, loaded the oversized hanging plant and headed off to do the Mother's Day thing.

By the time I arrived, I hade about 2 square inches of the windshield without bug remains. The bumper looked like it had a severe case of road rash and the front of the hood was very colorful. ( well mostly red, black yellow and green...)

Yes folks, spring is definitely here.

Detailing spray and microfiber towels are your friend.....

The pollinator ..

Plants use many techniques to spread their pollen.
One mechanism is to attract bugs that will carry it.
Another is to toss it to the wind.

The plants in my yard have developed their own technique.
Wait till the big shiny bug (the one that sleeps in the yard at night) arrives and bury it!
