Cooling Fan

Hi

probable a daft question but does the cooling fans run all the time on a Passat TDI SE130PD

if not any ideas why they would be, its got 65000 miles on the clock and seems ok otherwise

The belt driven one will spin all the time. The smaller electrically operated one will run whenever the AC is turned on, or the engine is hot enough that the larger belt driven fan can't keep up.
