The small flap at the top of the filler neck is gone, and there is only one place it could go. I have read this happened to others, and it is not really a problem.
However...Mine seems to have jammed near the bottom of the filler neck. I can get a few litres into the tank before fuel is at the top of the filler neck. It will slowly drain, but after a minute or so it will vomit (or burp) about a cup of fuel out the top. Disconcerting if you are leaning near to figure out what is wrong.
If I listen to the tank I can hear air bubbling up slowly, so I know a bit of flow happens.
I'm going to try a straightened coat hanger to knock it loose; unless there is a better idea out there. Any hints are appreciated.
