rear jetta hatch

has anyone ever replaced their hatch on a 2002-2005 jetta wagon? thinking of replacing mine due rust holes. can get for decent price and it's the same color! what's involved in disconnecting and removing the harness that goes into the hatch?

Its straight forward. Just check the bolts to make sure you have the tool, I think it uses 12 point socket. There is connectors just inside the car you can pull out and just disconnect there, makes it nice and easy.

From memory the connections are down the sides behind the trims, maybe something up top too. The top piece at the rear just clips on. Don't forget the washer pipe too.

Jus5 disconnect everything first then as above, couple of bolts and it's off.
