mk 5 brm, last year ran rough, belching black smoke, car ran with turbo actuator vacuum line disconnected but took time for turbo to spool up but ran smoothly, found dirty egr valve, cleaned ran fine with actuator reconnected. About a month ago it started running like the same problem reoccurred, cleaned the egr, no change, but it runs smoothly with the actuator disconnected. code thrown was map signal implausible changed map and charge sensor no change and still get the code, no check engine light, need help. With the actuator disconnected runs smooth, took about a half mile to get up to 70mph, got 56mpg on a 50 mile trip, no smoke or shuddering, any thoughts? Running smoothly seems to eliminate any mech problems, cam, turbo.
