BB,

Would you have a list for the 2011 Audi A3?
The mailer said that it includes just the NOX catalyst and software.

Engine is a CBEA. But apparently Audi uses newer style parts than VW.

I did look from underneath and my "gen 1 CBEA" does indeed have a two part exhaust, so the NOX cat change should be a 5 minute job. Maybe 10 because they do need to remove and reinstall one sensor.

Has anyone been able to make their dealer appointments for modification through the VW claims portal? My portal is still stuck on that last step claiming "once there is an approved fix for your TDI you will be able to make an appointment here" Well the fix has been approved so it seems I should be able to make the appt.

It sounds like ppl are just contacting their dealers directly. Have you had any issues with your restitution money without going through the portal?

yeah the portal is done with you, dont look at it. You should have gotten an email. At this point you can call the dealer and just ask if your car (have VIN read) is in their system yet to be fixed. BUT you need to fix your email or whatever cause that is how you will be notified by Chase bank to set up the wire transfer for the payment.

I, too had the web site still say a fix is not yet approved, so I called the dealer.

When I dropped the car off, I had to speak on the phone while at the dealer to a person who verified my contact e-mail via phone, and wanted me to say I understood that the fix means no sell back.

(I turned in the loaner and got a ride home since we are headed out for the weekend. dropped the car off Tuesday morning at 7:30, and it still is not quite done. hopefully a few more days lets them get it finished. I did take a peak, and it caught a glimpse of the new pressure sensors and DPF. thermal blankets for the pressure sensor looks a little better than the foil tape I put on after changing out the pressure sensor.)

Now that I think about it, I will have to double check the connection on that sensor, I had snapped part of the electric connector and put a couple zip ties to keep it in place.

48 k miles or 48 months on engine, emissions, fuel, pumps.....

the manual cars get another six months or so

that doesnt sound right

pretty sure that pursuant to the settlement they are legally mandated to warrant the emissions system for the "life of the car" which they consider to be 11 years

Depends on your mileage at the time of the fix:
Manual trans:

And
Automatic trans:

That's not correct; there's nothing in there about "life of the car." The warranty mandated by the settlement is 10/120k from new, or 4/48k from fix, whichever is longer.

Mileage at the time of fix isn't the only determining factor. An '09 manual trans. Jetta with 950,000 miles still gets 4.5 years or 54k miles of warranty coverage from the date/mileage the fix is applied. Whichever comes first.

Exactly why I posted the VW link with the full definition so he could read the original in full.

But I should have said depending on the mileage and age to be more precise.
