Hey John do you want to start a "July" before you leave or should someone else go ahead and do it?
I'll try and remember, but if I forget, please start one up for me.

I thought it wouldn't be so good because of:
1. I took it to the dealer for an oil change and I forgot to tell them to leave my Dunlop tires @ 51PSI. They usually deflate to about 40lbs if not requested. That was about 250 miles ago and it doesn't seem to roll quite as well but been lazy and not checked them.
2. About 175 miles of heavy rain/storms to drive through.

Total for the month (I was lazy on my tankly totals)
3124.1 miles / 67.916 gallons = 46.00 mpg.

My 50 mpg tank (818 miles!!!) was not good enough to counteract my 41mpg tank(chicago and back on 1 tank, all ~80mph interstate). :^(

Anyone else out there with a 4 sp automatic and an 800+ mile tank? ... I'm curious.

All miles on Premium B5.

That works out to 21.02 mpg, not bad for 20 feet of truck almost 7' high weighing nearly 8k lbs. Lots of 70-75mph running with the family and cargo aboard, too.

I didn't run the Jetta much this month, so don't have good fuel data, but we took a long vacation trip in my 'other' TDI, the Ford, so I'm posting its numbers instead.

I get to spend this 4th of July weekend on a 3k mile work road trip in the Jetta, so I'll have good data next month.

Happy Independence day to all.
